Has anyone biked the road on the west coast of Arran lately? Just wondering what the surfaces are like these days? Thinking of the road on the west coast of Arran from Whiting Bay all the way to Lochranza.

I was there a coule of years ago. It was like some sort of sick joke, with extra gravel and potholes to add interest to the swooping corners, humps and fallen rocks.

9/10, would ride again..

I hope tae fuck you went to see the unconformities.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hutton%27s_Unconformity

The roads are fine. Better than a dirt track. And beautiful views.

Well if you didn't see 'James Hutton's unconformities' you can visit next time. Rather significant subject.

Just before you reach the castle at Lochranza.
