Well it's about time but I have booked the bandit to get back up and running. It's not been started or run for two years and will not start so it's going in the garage for that and new chain and sprockets, new spark plugs, oil and filter change, exhaust manifold bolts coping off and new ones going on new pads and throttle cable needs seeing to but then she will be back on the road after they MOT it .All that how much you think I am looking at just so I have a ruff price to go off when they tell me 👍 not looking forward to here in how much 😂😂😂

That's probably close to 200 in parts so you can look at 3 times that in labour bearing in mind that that they need to diagnose the starting problem.

...and £40 for the MoT!

If it's been sat for 2 years the non-starting is no surprise: most likely stale fuel and carb gummed up Sad

Most of that is DIY-able.
The worry-some item on the list is exhuast manifold studs 'lopping off'...
Please elaborate... what are you talking about?
Exhaust studs are only generally an issue if the exhaust is shot and needs replacing. If so... then that list is likely just lip of the lettuce.
Bottom line is it's a derelict, and likely a rather old, and not particularly valuable one; and exhaust studs is a basquet of a job.... IF you are lucky they will wind out with a stud extractor or pair of grips.... if not? Then they will need drilling out.. and drilling into steel in aluminium is not nice.
Worst case its an engine out job, to get the lump under a pillar drill or mill to get at them..
And we are starting with a bit of string that says "Its scrap mate; cheaper to get another bike" and ramps from there.
As said, most of what you mention is not too onerous or expensive, if you DIY.... but you aint DIYing.... you want a paid mechanic to do the work....
Crack out the KY and bend over... at work-shop rates, they could crank this one to whatever they think you can pay them, really.
A-N-D it does beg query of how much of the lettuce leaf you is looking at and putting on the list... what state are the tyres in? There's £200 worth; Chain and sprockets? Another £100; brakes? When they come to do pads, what state are the calipers and pistons? Fork seals? Do the carbs need stripping and USCing? And so it goes on, with a list that could get very long, very quickly, and you'd be paying the mechanic to do the hunting!!!
How much is a Haynes manual? How many spanners do you got? And how much time can you afford to chuck at it?
IF you DIY you could cut out a large chunk of the labour costs... BUT, on a bike like this, you do have to be pretty clear how much its worth to save.

He wrote "coping off [sic]", and it was probably a typo for "coming off".

Definitely DIY. Worst part of that is the throttle cables, right pig's ear to do on a Bandit.

Throttle cables are a doddle if you junk the PAIR system which I'd do if the exhaust was coming off anyway. It'll give much better future access for changing the plugs too.

That's a few hundred quid's worth of labour in that list. What's a Bandit 650 worth anyway?

Hard to guess.

Pins likely to be seized in calipers, piston seals could be shot.

Very likely the manifold bolts will need drilling out.

And you haven't told us the hourly rate.

My guess is £250 - £1000.
