How did it affect your insurance premium when coming back?
Was a case of eye watering prices going back to the start or did they take your previous experience and age into account.
Think this is part of the reason im keeping a bike on when i dont really need one, its the fear of having to pay through the nose again if i find my self in a needing a bike situation.

I started back on a bike about 6 or 7 years ago. My bike insurance has always been cheaper than my car insurance

Never on a bike, but I did lose 9 years NCB when I stopped driving cars for 6 years..... it definitely stung a bit when I insured a £500 mondeo

Wasn't too bad at all. I think the most difficult part is navigating the minefield and pitfalls that the bike insurance industry has created since I was last riding a bike. This site has been invaluable in helping me steer through it all.
You really need to read everything that's pinned to the pages and if you're unsure, ask. The advice is given by members is excellent.

I have zero no claims and a bike that the local yoof masturbate over. I'm quite mature and do have full clean licence that's been held since my teenage years.
The actual policy price was fairly cheap and the most expensive costs were my initial outlay on security and suitable motorcycle clothing.
