Did you run the game as administrator? Is it on your C:\ (system) drive?

Few people reporting same issue, try

Disabling cloud save
Running game as admin

If that fails, try figure out where the saves are going/meant to be going and make sure the permissions on that location are set correctly.

You said installed on F: ? Is it in a folder on the drive or just installed in the root?

It's installed alongside my other steam games. The save folder is under c drive, under square enix; just cause 3 folder is there (which works fine) and just cause 4 folder which does not.

Do you use GeForce NOW?
Did you disable the cloud save feature?

Someone also mentioned running it in compatibility mode fixed the issue for them.

Strange one for sure.

I have an Xbox one. I signed up for game pass for £1 for 3 months, Just Cause 4 is there, I've downloaded it and it's playing/saving as it's supposed to.

Thank you anyway.
