Feeling good generally today, but can't do anything because I've hurt my back (further ) and need to rest. It's fine while I'm at rest, and to be gently active, but no more. Hope I haven't added more permanent issues. ____________________ Chickenystripgeezer's Biking Life (Latest update 19/10/18) Belgium, France, Italy, Austria tour 2016 Picos de Europa, Pyrenees and French Alps tour 2017 Scotland Trip 1, now with BONUS FEATURE edit, 5/10/19, on page 2 Scotland Trip 2 Luxembourg, Black Forest, Switzerland, Vosges Trip 2017

Trod on my glasses. £400 worth.
I was rushing to get to work. I had my lid on and started the bike, but realised I forgot earplugs. So I took my glasses off, put them on the tank, got earplugs and put them in, put my lid on and then got on the bike... I heard a noise and so put the stand down to find out what the noise was, and as I did so I trod on my glasses.

I've had them a few years, and it turns out even though I spent £400 on the frames... you can now buy the same frames for £100 online. So I suspect I'm being ripped off by the Oakley Luxottica hedgemony.

I didn't damage the lenses, and the frames are bent but I'm not sure if they can be salvaged. ____________________ British beauty: Triumph Street Triple R; Loony stroker: KR1S; Track fun: GSXR750 L1; Commuter Missile: GSX-S1000F

As previously mentioned...I find that knowing we're never far away from death a strange comfort. <<<Search for unmapped meteors..(CwotIdoneThere).There are 450 nuclear reactors in the world...9-10,000 nuclear weapons (60 odd thousand in the 80s) and lest I forget the chemical and nerve agents.
Shout out to the sun, capable of knackering-up electronic devices at will..expect high mortality rates from players of Angry birds etc.
See, tell her there's a lot to look forward to...quit fretting...make memories. ____________________ Diabolical homemade music Bandcamp and Soundcloud

Surely you jest. There can't be many people around who are that stupid, can there? |
Oh yes... I can't knock the man though as he collects two-strokes and occasionally lets me ride them. At present he has an RGV 250, 350YPVS, KE175, RD400, two RD125LCs, an H1 500 and a big, pink GT750. This is probably a good indication of his mental health! As you can imagine my immediate concern when the fire brigade arrived was that his garage was on fire..... ____________________ Now - Speed Triple, old ratty GS550, GSXR750M

I can't. When we went to pick it up I told him it looked like a dildo on steroids, but it is actually a nice bike to ride in a 70s sedate kind of way. First thing we did though when we got it off the trailer was try to wheelie it up our street, much to the chagrin of the curtain-twitchers ____________________ Now - Speed Triple, old ratty GS550, GSXR750M

The clue is in the name: GT. Add pink, and I don't know what to think Knock him until he replaces it with an H2. Then he can have metallic purple with a pink stripe and no one will bat an eyelid ____________________ Chickenystripgeezer's Biking Life (Latest update 19/10/18) Belgium, France, Italy, Austria tour 2016 Picos de Europa, Pyrenees and French Alps tour 2017 Scotland Trip 1, now with BONUS FEATURE edit, 5/10/19, on page 2 Scotland Trip 2 Luxembourg, Black Forest, Switzerland, Vosges Trip 2017
