Depends on whether or not you have a pillion seat.

As above, if there is a pillion seat, you need pillion foot restraints (note it doesn't actually stipulate "pegs". Presumably you could have footplates or stirrups or something).

If you cover the pillion with a cowl, you're good to go.
My last mot test womble moaned about it saying it was a fail unless the seat had a pillion cowl fitted.
I said I'd go home and 'fit the bloody pegs' while rolling my eyes but he said as long as I had them he'd pass it.
He said next time if I just had them with me in a back pack, he'd pass it again.

I think he might be scared of me.

Certainly you can have footboards. My 1200 Wing had footboards all round. It was never a problem at MOT time.

Shouldn't think so, probably more to do with the fact that, as I've said on here before, we are actively encouraged to give people the benefit of the doubt.

If that was all I could find to fail, I probably wouldn't bother either, but it's a gamble - if you get pulled 100 meters from the test station (or the DVSA are doing a surprise check) and it gets picked up that your bike has just passed an MOT with an obvious reason for rejection, I could lose my ticket.

Next time, have your pegs in your bag and don't roll your eyes, he's doing you a favour that has the potential to cost him his job.

That was always a tricky one for my DRZ, I've had to argue whether it's a one person or two person seat with a tester before.

With hindsight, it was arrogant of me to behave like that.
The thing is, I'd been through 5 mot's without a mention of the missing pillion pegs and I genuinely didn't realise it was an mot requirement.
It seemed so trivial to me because of the fact that I had no intention of, or was even insured for, carrying a passenger.
Rules is rules I suppose.

My KTM200 fit 2 people and had no rear pegs. Enduro have slightly different things though.
