Was riding home a couple weeks ago when I lost power in the throttle, firstly thought it was the throttle cable that had snapped but I thoroughly checked it and everything seemed normal.

Got it home and started it up again but it was very sluggish and it wasn't even hitting 1000rpm at full throttle before it cut out. However, half throttle it seemed to pick up slightly but still only to 2000 max rpm.

I then took the air filter off and checked to make sure there wasn't a blockage. All was okay, but I started it up again and the rpm picked up to about 5000rpm on half throttle but still clogged out when full throttle. This has got to be an air flow problem?????

I siphoned out the 'bad' fuel and put in premium. Still the same when air filter was back on.

I have added carb cleaner to the fuel and have run it but nothing much seems to be happening.

Any advise please would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Take the carb off.

Check it.

Clean it.

Report back.
