Hi I have a three year old lexmoto 125 zsf and has hardly been used. The problem I have is I could not get it to start as it has been sitting under a cover all winter. I stripped the carb and cleaned it but now when I start the bike it is stuck on full revs and no mater how many times I reconect the excearator cable and make sure it is sitting properly in the carb it still wont slow down the revs. The throttle dose not feel right and is only has small movement but the cable is slack in the carb.
Thanks for any help

If it's accessible could you try disconnecting the throttle cable entirely and just work the carb by hand?

If the throttle slide isn't sitting down fully in the body, you'll get the same symptoms.
Take the carb off and examine it for assembly error
Look through the back and
check the slide closes off the passage fully when the top fitted
and throttle isn't twisted
Check the tickover screw isnt in too far
open/shut the throttle and observe it all functions properly before refitting.

Some of the cheap roundslides on this type of bike let you put the slide in backwards. One of mine will, the other wont. This is usually the reason for loads of revs on startup. See if you can flip the slide, you shouldn't need to disassemble anything other than the top cover.
