How lovely! It oils my gears just to see them. Just when they're all ready, and their silk sac breakes open, and they all rush wildly away in all directions! Smile

Today I spent over 4 hours in the garden getting the area prepared for
my new shed which should be delivered and constructed, cleared loads
of weeds and removed a couple of bushes, roots and all.

The area is now clear for the dude who will be constructing it for me.

All I need now is the shelving, buying that later. Very Happy

I started a little project on Saturday. Picked up a decent coffee table on shpock but the colour was naff so I've been at it with the orbital sander, blown all the dust away with the compressor and today applied the finish.
Turned out nice.👍

B&Q undercharged me by £24 on a bill for fencing products that should have been about £100 total because their
staff are stupid and unfamiliar with the products stocked in their own store. I'll look out for that particular meathead
on till again, I still have to buy a few more gravelboards. Laughing

rode the Suzuki van van with wife on back to pick up my Beta from the dirt bike shop, lovely weather, empty back roads

did encourage her to ride off without coming into the shop, but no, she came in and saw the size of the credit card bill Laughing

lubed mousses, new tyres, chain, sprocket etc etc and got a daylight MOT

rode it back on equally empty roads

In the space of five minutes I have seen a Dakota and a Spitfire fly over my house. I think the Dakota is heading to Duxford for the 75th commemorative flypast on Wednesday, they are going from Duxford to Caen-Carpiquet. The Spitfire is based around here anyway and flies over daily doing paid trips for folks.

So loud!

Since we are heading towards the demise of the ICE, is it now safe to say that the Rolls Royce Merlin engine is the best sounding ICE there will ever be? Smile

My shed arrived on Friday, it was constructed and also my shelving arrived from screwfix.

Today I assembled the shelving, 2x3 tier shelving.

So far this shed has cost me £953

So, where's the bed? You need a bed in order to convince your parents that you've moved out.

A true day of rest and recuperation. All I've done is walked the dog, been fed a HUGE sunday roast by my fave pub
and slept on the sofa all afternoon. Perfect.

Spent all day soaking up the weather: went up the A3 to Halfords to see if they had a cheap cover for the turd scooter but alas all their stock seems to have been nicked Sad

"You might want to try J&S" says the shop assistant...

Fuck yeah! Why am I even here?!

So, nice cheap Oxford cover and err... a new helmet which I said I wasn't going to buy before passing my Mod1/2 but whatever and then chilled out with the guys outside the shop.

Bloke on a Fazer said it was the best bike he's ever had but almost in the same sentence said that it's his 3rd (different) bike this year!

Went down the Fighting Cocks for a cheeky pint (it was very hot out!) and then rode through Bushy Park to seek out a Greek kebab van in Teddington.

Now trying to work out when I might have the energy to put the cover on the bike... maybe after this next beer, cheers Wasted
