'Listens to video. Says to myself "Oh dear" and says nothing until others have spoken..'

Sounds f*cked dude. Knowing how intricate and complex those things are, this could well be the start of a saga if you try to fix it.

Tef will advise soon.

Doesn't sound good. Needs an engine strip by someone who knows what they are doing to isolate the problem.

Ding ding ding! You were correct! Exhaust valve was supposed to be 0.24, but when i opened it up it was set to 0.30. What an awful sound it made. It was my mistake when I was rebuilding the engine. Took this last task for granted.

Now the rpms are stable, I can finally hear the quiet purr of the engine.

Took me 20 mins to fix the issue.

Thanks all

I don't believe a piston slap would be this rythmic. I would expect it to appear and disappear randomly and not be this consistant. Am I wrong?

As Mr Nobby says, plus it would generally be less bad, on the same engine, if the engine is up to running temperature.
