Brakes not binding, all correctly adjusted, tyre pressures good, chain adjusted correctly etc?
Or despite keeping to a self-imposed 55mph limit, are you riding in some kind of ham-fisted way, and/or doing loads of very short trips?

Why do I get the feeling you don't really know what fuel consumption you're getting and I'm wasting my time with you?

Brakes cleaned (pads out) 500 miles ago along with new chain and sprocket, tyre pressures 33psi,like i said 30 mile trip and it used the thick end of a fiver, i only just got to the fuel station i checked when i got there and on the side stand when its leant over the high side of the bottom of the tank (if that makes sense) was dry. i got three bars of fuel for my fiver approx 3.75 litres did my 30 miles and went back down to one bar checked inside tank and there was just a little more left than when i checked at the fuel station.

Does that explanation make you think im time wasting?

its painful spending a fiver in 30miles though i thought id achieve much better than that.

What shed is giving you that.

Maybe just run a 125 and be happy with 120mpg

OP, what do you usually wear while riding and what's body position on the bike?

Keeping your head down and wearing proper clothes does save fuel.

Doesn't the Gen 1 Busa have the slipperiest fairing?

Now coat that in the afore said green swarfega and it will cut through the air so efficiently it will make fuel, not use it. Thumbs Up

So it's obvious a Hayabusa is the best bike for you.

at a steady 55mph it costs £5 for 30 miles? seems steep for MT07 as said above, something must be wrong, what gear and RPM roughly you on? I ride my cbr600 in london stop start traffic all week with a number of traffic light GPs and running hot with idle at 1.5k and £20 gives me around 100-110 miles
