So, couple of weeks ago, me, my lad and his mate booked a day at a wheelie school (Stunt Asylum at Dunsfold Park Aerodrome). We, me and my boy, had already done a day a few years ago (Finmere market one) but that was just power wheelies..this one was learning to clutch up.

The instructor guy, Marco, (who, incidentally in August, will be attempting to beat the record for the fastest headstand on a bike - 60+mph!) was really good. Friendly, and good at explaining what to do. The guy who owned it all was pretty chill as well. Started off on the school's bikes, and unlike the previous school, were more willing to raise the limiter so we could get closer to the balance point, meaning we were chasing the wheelie less and keeping the front wheel up for longer.

As the day went on, we felt more confident and swapped to our own bikes, as in the vid above. Max on his SV, me on the Triple. Still a bit nervous of looping it, and throwing it down the road causing unaffordable amounts of damage, but we are getting better all the time.

All in all, great day, really good fun, and being able to clutch up a wheelie is so much better, and is much more controlled than the power wheelies. The only problem now is having to resist the urge to wheelie away from every junction/traffic light.... it's so bloody addictive.. Thumbs UpWink
