Their items are completely worthless - "fashion" stuff, not even made from cowhide.

They should spam some MAG event instead.

They've blamed "Our SEO Agency" for the spam.

I suggested they stop paying them to spam.

So they want to give me free stuff.

"Have you bought any of our items? Because I want to have your feedback about it

if you like we are more than happy to send you one of our Denim / Leather Trim vest as gift."

I'm slightly concerned that they might just send me a turd in a box but a leather trim vest sounds like the type of product which was designed to have "for rectal use only" stickers added to it.

Not to mention their "distressed" line in leather vests...
While damsels in distress are a popular theme in many people's solitary late-night research into folklore and medieval literature, I don't think damsels as a whole figure prominently in the imagination of their target customers, if you catch my drift...

Aw c'mon Ste - accept a free gift. Even if it makes you one of Village people.
Ask them for a nice 'leather' hat or vest.

Oil arrived today so sorted the broken clutch arm, changed oil and filter which was almost due anyway.

Fitted a relay to power the grips, the auto switch off built in to oxford hot grips is not to be trusted.

But....they do work. Once you figure out how to turn that feature on. After 7 minutes of no running they turn off - simples.

Getting the TDM9 ready for the ring and Alps next week.

Heated grips added
Coolant change
Oil and filter
New back tyre
Front pads, new braided hoses, new fluid
New back wheel spacer off an R6 coz I'm an idiot and lost one whilst taking the back wheel for tyre change

Now need to print out the 256 items you need to carry in Switzerland. May need to dig out the baffles for the Beowolf cans as well.....

I do love those gen 1 busas. Wub

Another bike I had and regretted selling but it got to the stage I couldn't do more than a couple of hours before my legs were in agony.

Had an issue with the 400 forks where they suddenly started bottoming out everywhere. Bit of a concern with several track days coming up. As an easy solution I changed the fork oil. This grey soup was what came out

https://farm66.staticflickr.com/65535/48074426862_0822a8283a_z.jpg

Bear in mind this oil had only been in a couple of years (about 900 road miles and several track days). Fresh 10w oil has stiffened things up enough to get me through to winter when I’ll look into getting some better springs as there’s too much sag to dial out on the originals.

Tut Tut

How come I had to get a jump start a couple of weeks back then?
Auto switch off is/was engaged, and I had tested it. The one time I forgot to switch them off manually the bike was dead on return.

After jump start it has been fine ever since, and the grips have not been switched on since.

Trust at your own peril Razz

Fork oil on the fazer

https://puu.sh/DH7dN.jpg

Big witness mark on the inside of one of the fork top cap, never seen this before? possible bent forks? Anyone seen this before?

https://puu.sh/DH7dJ.jpg

Fork oil helped a lot, but still having problems with notchy suspension travel, the scraping on the top cap adds more to the mystery...

Air filter and plugs on the gfs car while there was a brief window of sunshine..

Adjusted the chain. Still going strong after at least 23k miles (in my ownership) and is probably the original chain and sprockets so nearer 37k miles.

PostPosted: 17:34 - 17 Jun 2019    Post subject: redesigned the offside pannier Reply with quote

Doing 40 in a 40 down the A31 this afternoon, minding my own business, a tanking Alfa Romeo (I think) heading towards me crossed the hatched centre line box, into my lane and hit the off side pannier, which was ripped of and dumped in the road.
Capital F car driver did not stop, but other drivers did to check that I was ok and to clear the pannier off the road.
Notified the nice lady on Dorset Police switchboard and priced up a new pannier, £220 ish.
I only hope the damage to the Italian paintwork is substantial.

Never seen it before. There should be a sort of flat washer just below the fork cap, to stop the spring coming into contact with the fork cap. Is it present?

It's Yamaha part number 9020110321

Rewired ignition switch. Checked regulator mounting and cables. Partially removed two stainless fairing bolts, which I knowingly assembled without threadlock Mad will grind them off and drill out later.

More crap on Facebook from Leatherick about their spammy shit...

"Hi, Hope you are doing great. We have highlighted your reported issue with our SEO team and they have removed all such kind of posts. We will not renew contract with them."

"Further your review at our facebook page really hurts our overall rating. It will be very kind of you if you can remove it."

Trying to avoid fixing the charging system. Rear bike hold down, so as I can remove the front wheel. Might change to eye bolts and rope, as this wont let me do anything on the rear while the front is up.

It's normal.
Mines in Fort Knox and add that to putting all of the gear on and it's a long slog.
