Hey, I was chatting to a friend how my flip up is a bit loud and produces a small whine/screech if I turn my head sideways at speed (looking over the shoulder.

He had a spare shark mid-range one so he lent me to compare the noise level.

Damn me. I tried it first to see if it fit, it was ok albeit not as comfy as mine, so I took it for my commute today...If I had the helmet open a crack the airflow would go straight for the eyes! Wearing contacts, this made everything blurry for a long while!

So be careful if you wear contacts and take helmets for a short ride first...

Things like this is why I wear glasses, they're just less risky. The downside is that you can't wave your fabulous hair around when easily removing your helmet as you have to first remove then reapply your glasses. Still I hope you've made a full recovery!

I am not a glasses wearer but I always wear glasses of some sort under my lid anyway. Currently rocking Bolle protective glasses. Got dark and light yellow tint ones for day and night.

Means when the visor is rendered useless by fog/spray/flies, I can flip it up and carry on or ride with it cracked without getting flies in my eyes. I often have it up when going more slowly anyway.
