The bike is in showroom condition and has only ever been used as a summer bike covering typically about 1000 miles each year.
Its flown through ever MOT since New without even having any advisories other than once the Tyre tread was a little low on one of the tests.
The Bike as Standard comes with Brembo Brakes and an adjustable rear shock. It also comes with Heated grips and ABS as standard. The bike also has a BMW alarm system and immobilizer than can be turned off using the manual if required.
The Engine is a Water-cooled four-stroke 798 cc parallel twin built by Rotax and is an absolute torque monster in ever gear. The Rotax engines although a bit industrial and noisy pull like a turbocharged tractor and you see many of these bikes with very high mileage. A friend of mine took his to over the 100,000 mile mark using it as a long distance commuter.
If you’re coming from a Japanese In Line 4 Stroke you will be in for a shock how much low down torque these bikes have. They are a completely different style of engine.
The bike has a drive belt which is super low maintenance and the one fitted is in very good condition. A new belt can be purchased for £120 and fitted in about 15 minutes by anyone with minimum competence but this bike is still a long way off from needing one. If you have not had a belt driven bike if feels like an instant response when you turn the throttle in comparison to the slight delay you have on a bike with a chain and sprocket.
The single sided swing arm looks great and it’s super easy to get the rear wheel off to maintain the brakes or change a tyre.
Insurance Group is low on the bike. I pay £86 for a years insurance. It’s also not bad on fuel and you can get 140 miles before starting to think about filling up.
The only modifications are a colour coded rear hugger to protect the rear shock from road grime and a dark screen (i have the original clear screen.
The Bike Located in the Leeds/Bradford Area.
