My new neighbour is an interfering busy body bastard who’s chomping about various issues regarding safety in the village. Is there an easy way of letting Plod know he’s currently driving around in an car that’s more than a month out of MOT? Would they care / do anything?

Ps I’m not going to be hammering frozen sausages / shit on his door handles yet. I’m keeping my powder dry and well covered, until I can lob him firmly under a far heavier bus!

A month, probably not... a few years, probably not even then. Unless he lands right in their lap (e.g. behind unmarked traffic plod with busted brake light) waaaay too much effort Sad

However, when the stats need pumping up they'll set up one of their insurance/tax/MoT purges at the side of a main road. If you spot one of those you'll have to concoct a ruse to get your mark to go down that road...

Is it a shitheap that would fail the MOT test?

Message your local neighbourhood police on twitter or facebook if you don't want the human interaction that's involved with phoning 101.

Will they care and will they do anything? Maybe and maybe.

It's a non endorseable fixed penalty offence, I can't see them bending over backwards over it.

You could tell them he dead named or misgendered you on twatter, they might care about that.

Does he drink in a local pub?

Wait until he's finished his latest story of derring do on the safety front and ask him 'your reg is nnnnnnnn, isn't it?'

'According to giv. Uk your mot has been out for over a month now. That's an appalling failure to manage the most basic of safety measures. '

If Plod know, they will do him & no-one else will know.

If you are feeling vindictive for some reason: "photo posters", drawing pins, telegraph poles. The nights are drawing in, so you'll have to stay up late.

Presumably you've checked his insurance?

Check his road tax. Often MOT, tax and insurance fall at around the same time. Not always but it could be with his.
One out of date? Perhaps more..

I'd report him for drink driving and having no mot. If you know what time he usually leaves for work, ring the po po and say he leaves at that time every morning over the limit and has no mot. They WILL pull him over, if he's sober they'll still do him for no mot.

Can we start with the other stuff now? You know - shoving pebbles up the exhaust so it rattles etc?

He probably just forgot, I've done that a couple of times in recent years. This year I realised just the day before it was due.

Mind you if he's that much of a nuisance the cops are probably already fed up with him. They might relish the chance to stick it to him with a 30 quid fine.

Why spoil your own self-worth and dignity by bitching and snitching?
There's so many ANPRs these days, karma will eventually get him.

Or save myself until I’m prepared and ready to fuck him over royally - much as he’s doing to me?

What's he actually done? I see in your OP he's "chomping about various issues regarding safety in the village"; is that all?
