I'm looking for some new levers and a front brake master cylinder for a bike I'm upgrading.

There is the obvious eBay set that is available fro £20 but I'm reluctant to trust them.

Any recommendations on a kit that includes all of the above and doesn't break the bank?

Thanks,
Henry.

+1 for Chinese levers off eBay. Never had issues with them, had them on 5 different bikes over the years.

There was a chap on here a few years ago who bought a set of Chinese knockoff levers. Turns out the brake lever was holding the brake slightly on. I can't remember the details, it either boiled his brakes and led to a crash, or clamped on at the wrong time and led to a crash. Either way, very expensive way to save 50 quid.

I tried a set on the Guzzi. The clutch lever didn't quite fit, and they were really uncomfortable - very square profile. Got a refund though.

so a guy you dont know fitted some cheap levers and they didnt fit.
but he still went out and was surprised when he crashed?
you got a set that didnt fit .you didnt ride on them and you didnt crash.
so basicaly if they dont fit dont use them.
i think thats fair.

25000 mile on a set of £15 (including postage from china) no wear on them and no problems, when i sold the bike last week the new guy even said "i like those levers dont refit the OEM ones"

ill be honest when i ordred them i did expect them to be crap.
they were not.

Heres a video of someone showing you how shit they are inside and explaining how they can bind up https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hrmISjVFwtE

My brother actually has a set and they do feel really cheap and sloppy. When it comes to brakes I'd much rather spend a little more and not trust my life to Chinese quality.

Or just use the OEM set?

Never had a problem with OEM levers on any bike I've owned.

In reality, 'Pazzo' style levers are functionally beneficial for almost nobody. Why risk compromising safety for a pointless modification?

I used a Chinese master cylinder and lever on a bike I was doing up. I did get a duff one first (threads were cut wonky where the banjo goes), but UK seller sent a replacement set and they worked fine.
