I only had one motorcycle with fully adjustable suspension, the best it ever worked was with the factory setting. Thinking

Back in Sainsburys and headphone guy was in the café. Last week he did a rendition of "On the first day of Christmas.."

Today as I am waiting in the queue, I look across and he's singing the funky gibbon, strutting his stuff; waving his arms, proper enjoying himself. If I had not been with the wife I'd have filmed him.

Take it from me, it was epic in all the wrong ways. His carer just sat there with her head in her hands.

Don't look at your wife, she might be doing the same about you. Wink

Saved a bats life today. I found it in my loft but it was trapped inside a kitchen waste bin plastic inner. In essence a
very tall bucket which I was about to stick on the tip pile. At first I thought it was a toad but then quickly realised
it was actually a bat, exhausted and barely alive. I poured some water out onto the ground next to it as it was
too weak to move to get a drink. It lapped up a little water and we put it inside a shoe box. Next time we checked him
he was able to move his head, we left it with the animal hospital in Bath and hopefully they can get it back up to strength.
They had specialist bat people on the way to collect it.

Turd Scooter sold! Someone did appreciate the aesthetic I was going for Smile

One down, two to go... my wife has promised to buy me a bigger boys' bike if I pass the Mod 2 but only if I sell all the other bikes.

Bat rescue place just called to tell me our little guy (it is male) is on the mend. He has a small wrist injury but now't that will
affect his flying ability. Thumbs Up otherwise should make a full recovery. He is a Leisler's Bat apparently. Common in Ireland, but rare here.
I feel very happy to have got him to some desperately needed assistance. They said he was very small and had almost wasted away. Crying or Very sad

You see that Mother Nature, I saved one of your rare bats!! Now please keep your fackin bees away from my dog. Tut Tut

Had the office to myself all day.
Managed to mostly dick around all morning, THEN pulled my finger out and got the bulk of the work done anyway.

It's good to fart out loud.

To be on call would be a bugger, some sad money grabbing no-lifes at my place actually volunteer to do that when they don't have to.
They don't get time off either.
Not having a pop btw, if it's part of your job, fair enough.

You right it’s part of the job and it’s pants most of the time.
Today’s shift would have been very hard physically, however I rest while they graft hard Razz

There's a hedgehog in my back garden! I gingerly shone a torch and spotted it outside the kitchen window.

I put some cat food out for it (anything as long as it's not fish!) and it's tucking in now as I can hear the plate rattling... Very Happy

Got involved in helping out with a "exercise" at work, one of those what-if incidents, where we played the part of victims of a lab explosion/contaminated members of the public, and we had to stagger into Main Reception pretending to be sick and see if the front desk were able to rally themselves to help and contain us as per the official instructions on how to do so in a Civil Emergency kinda thing.

So they did, and we were contained and eventually decontaminated.

Best part was that the (real) police attended as part of the exercise. I was by that stage playing the part of "[interfering old] woman who didn't get so badly contaminated but was worried about how sick everyone else was" so I was stomping about trying to open the windows, get back out into the reception area to ask for doctors and generally being stroppy and saying "Where are all the doctors! We need help! These people are sick, they might be DYING!"

The coffee shop was full of people in scrubs trying genuinely to help (and being talked back out of the contamination zone by the organisers) but I did take the opportunity to have a right pop at a lovely big copper (aged about 12).

I think he wasn't expecting us to be obnoxious and panicky, and that we would all just be pretending to cough, convulse and haemorrhage from the eyeballs quietly in the corner, and he didn't much like the fact that I got in his face shouting the odds.

In his defence, he made a good job of "calming me down". Laughing

Going from this... not working for years (my father's car)
*screw heads were rusted away, yet very hard metal, no one touched those in years. MOT people never failed the car and police wouldn't care much either. Thinking of it, I can't tell the last time those lights worked on that car. My father being the owner from maybe 2003.

A bit of zink instead of the rusted away reflectors
https://cdn.bcf.44bytes.net/files/img_20190719_113204.jpg

A test fit, after cleaning up the contacts.

Done, those alichinaexpress LEDs have a very nice colour temperature, can't tell the difference between that and a regular W5W bulb.
