I'm triggered by this blatant ignorance that these days not everyone identifies as having a 'rod' or a 'slot'.

My employer has chosen to shut for the day rather than try and deal with the disruption.

So, they turned up this morning and I bypassed them by the simple expedient of turning off the mighty strumpet and wheeling it past them and the filth on the pavement.

I then started it up t feet past them and gave them the pleasure of hearing it by giving it a big right hand before dropping the clutch.

There was a documentary on Al-beeb about it last night.

It had me frothing at the mouth. A combination of triggered unwashed and champagne socialists who I suspected turned up by Range Rover.

"We want you to declare a climate emergency!"

Okay, done!

"We want the UK to be carbon neutral by 2025!"

That's gonna be tough, how about 2050?

"We want a citizen assembly to oversee all this!"

You want whatnow?!

And there we have it fuck you, fuck me, fuck the environment this is just about a power grab.

Have them lined up against the wall and shot as traitors.

If these c you nts cut their own carbon footprints instead of blaming everyone but themselves, I’d take them seriously.

Apparently these city dwelling wankers think it’s me and my composting, home growing fruit and veg, fixing old cars, repairing domestic appliances, not needing to replace electronic devices every year and not flying abroad twice a year, who are the problem.

I disagree.

Thats just a complete strawman you have made up Laughing

Not what their movement is about at all.

...Who keep me in a job making Coal fired Steam Turbines.

All our business these days is in China and India, cos they don't give a sh1t about the environment. They've got 2.5 billion people to power.

Greta Thunberg is taking a year off school and taking an expensive plastic sailing boat (she could have borrowed one of Extinction Rebellion's Wink ) across the Atlantic. She will spend two weeks travelling from the UK to New York City, which will be the first stop in a string of engagements in the Americas. She will then travel by "low-carbon transport" (natch) to Canada and Mexico, and travel to the UN COP25 climate conference in Santiago, Chile, before visiting other sites in South America. She has never heard of Skype conferencing.

(I hate to criticise a 15 year old girl, but that's why she's such an effective figurehead. I kind of admire her too, although she is rumoured to be her activist-parents' puppet.)
