So - I did a bit of googling and quickly sussed out why I reckon that product is poorly designed. It's basically this - you need a USB port to charge it. But say you wanted a really light bug-out type set up (smiler alert) - a stuff sack w/ minimal bits and pieces, say for hiking, whatever. I think a mini torch that uses a 3AAA battery would be so much better. It wouldn't be as small or as light, which admittedly are crucial criteria, but I'd be amazed if a 3AAA cell wouldn't last longer, and - because you could carry 1 or 2 spare batteries, would be better when you're stranded on Scafell Pike in a blizzard. Etc.

It's not meant to be a survival torch, it'll get used for the usual back of the cupboard stuff and the I'm so hammered I can't find the cartent in this carparkfield duties.

Okay - so I suppose size wins out over other criteria. For some reason though I still prefer the idea of 3AAA batteries. Got it in me noggin they last longer but don't have any evidence for that.

A small switch to manually bypass the coolant temperature sensor on the bike.
A manual 'just in case' switch.

They make you do that cos they think you like doing it.

Longshanks does that to me. Every time I sit down on the toilet, the fucker gets up on the handbasin and looks at me pointedly.
So I run the tap for him.
It has to be just the right speed, else its too much water and he doesn't like getting his feet wet.

But he could just as easily drink from the water bowl that the other two use, which is right outside the bathroom door Shocked

He also likes to lick the shower water after you get out of the shower.
Weird cat.

A set of 6-point sockets after my 12-point rounded off a rear caliper bolt. There was just enough undamaged metal at the bottom of the bolt head for a hex-socket to grip and undo it. 12-pointers seem to mangle bolt heads far too easily.

Six points works better because it grips the surface of the flats meaning high torque'd value bolts can be undone with less change of rounding the head off; whereas a twelve points grip the edges of the bolt. Both work, but six point sockets are always my go to.

Halfords have replaced all their big socket sets with 6 points so if you want a comprehensive kit there 200 piece may be something to keep an eye out for / save up.

Dremel cordless, reduced (£60) at Argos, because a Hobbycraft mains-equivalent has previously done an excellent job cutting screwdriver slots into weathered, rounded Allen-head bolts which seemed to round very easily (on carb float bowls in particular), and because I no longer have a garage with power. Its first task is to cut a slot across the head of a rounded Allen-bolt on a brake caliper anti-rattle spring so I can use a flat blade screwdriver to remove it.

I must admit I've been quite impressed with the performance and particularly the charge-life of lithium batteries used by my Bosch screwdriver and drill, and my Worx jet wash. Maybe I should get one for the Kawasaki.

I didnt want a BMW but hey it ticked the boxes for BHP/MPG/£££ and the alternative 4wd 300bhp+ options just could not compare for the money so hey I now own a sales exec who cant indicate wankers car and actually its 4.8 sec 0-62 OR 54mpg on a run kinda ticks a lot of boxes! just wish it wasnt a BMW Rolling Eyes

A microwave oven.
Had someone stay over at my house (female) and they broke it by turning the knob the wrong way and forcibly - they literally smashed the timer switch to pieces inside. Worse still is they never told me FFS.
Some people are tw*ts.

This female was actually dumped a day before I discovered the hidden damage. Dumped for other reasons. (I should write a book Laughing )
Old microwave was old - was going to be going anyway but she shortened its life.

Tanking slurry; one wall of the garage is against the neighbor's garden, and the soil comes about half way up that wall, so water eventually finds its way in.

I'd succeeded to seal the roof, so this hopefully is the last step to keep it all nice and dry.

One coat done last night, I'll finish the second coat later.

Friend of my wives stayed down one weekend some years back and put hot straighteners on the window ledge - burned a V shape into it.
I noticed it a couple of days later and said to the wife "Your friend burnt the windowsill with hair straighteners".
Her: "Don't be stupid, they wouldn't have done that. How can you possibly know it was her?"
Me: "Look at it, what else burns in a V shape"
Her, storms up to the room to look at it with me following: "Oh my God. I can't believe that. Why would anyone put hair straighteners on there".

We had a halfwit at work who set down a large soldering iron on a 440v socket. He said he though it only got hot at the tip.
