Genetic experimentation is a contentious subject. Could this be the start of something significant?

It does beg to wonder how soon it will be viable to keep a human going well beyond his 4 score years and ten. (yes, I as God have increased it by a decade Cool )

Regenerating bodies, growing new organs for replacements, rather than harvesting deaders.

Of course, only for the rich. The proles can eat Soylent Green and be thankful Wink

It began a while back.

A rogue Chinese scientist, He Jiankui, gene edited some human embryos without coming even close to following protocals for both the procedure and the consent and implanted them. The twins have already been born.

If the guys & gals at Boston Dynamics don't get a shift on I could imagine someone creating a slave race of humanoids with say dog level intelligence (loyal, easy to train, bit thick) something like the moth growers in Lexx...

"Check out the new and improved Numpy 3000 from GeneCraft! Never ask your lazy grand kids to carry your shopping again!!!"

And then the chuggers will be hassling for donations to the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Numpties Sad

Apparently not. Whereas it was not genetically modified, it was artificially grown in the mouse using cow cartilage cells on a biodegradable frame.

Make that three, however they lost the plot in later series.
Or rather they only had variations of one basic story in almost every episode.
