As for how someone with a history degree goes into international investment banking, I doubt that's particularly unusual for Oxford graduates, especially ones with who made a name for themselves when aged 12. Laughing

Most 12 year olds aren't in a situation where they can grow up with experiences like that.

As for Oxford, nope, most Oxford grads are normal folk, some of whom even complain of things being more difficult because they're considered to be 'too good' for the jobs they apply for. My youngest brother studied at Oxford - linguistics - and decided to complete a PGCE after to ensure he can forge a reasonable career for himself. 'Oxford degree' in itself is not enough.

I didn't know JRM was an Eton boy too. Really helps with the 'self made' image mpd is attempting to sing the praises of Laughing

JRM is a bit too left of centre for my liking. He's against death sentences, for example.

The irony is hilarious. A Peter Pan leftie student who’s spent most of his adult life living off the tax payer and work dodging, moves to Communist China to avoid paying the tax payer back, then has the cheek to blame Rees-Mogg, a tax payer who lives in the U.K., for being a privileged leech on my tax.

Rhymes with anchor.

Er what.

Where in any of my words did I say he was leeching off the taxpayer.

Privileged? Yes he is, and you're properly thick if you can't see that. Next you'll be claiming the queen got her job after rising through the ranks at Morrisons.
