I'd stick it on Ebay with all the other overpriced rusty shite
and say its a 'classic, retro, cafe racer, bobber, unfinished project, barn find'
'very rare now' 'just needs tidying' 'no time to finish' 'need room for fireblade' 'never raced or rallied' etc etc

Message me where you are and what you want for it. I need a project.

Where do you live, someone who lives not too far away from you may take it
off your hands if you have a kosher V5 or maybe just for spares if not

(All this assuming its not another tedious feckin wind up)
There seems to be no ATF in Wales which will accept scrap motorcycles from public (from what I've found).

I'm in South Wales.

This isn't a wind up. I'm not looking for anyone of you fellows to take it off my hands, I simply just want some advice for what I could do. That's all. No messing around

I would come take it off your hands. I'm not wanting to scrap, just rebuild as a project. Saves you throwing...which would be a waste.
Look. If you're close enough and it's cheap enough I'd buy it. I just don't understand why you'd scrap and not sell?
I'm in South Wales if that helps?

I tore the bike down trying to diagnose the problem, however with my novice skills I seemed to have caused more bad than good. Trying to put it back was a night mare. Long story short, a broken down bike fits easier into boot of car.

Bung it on ebay as a project for a 99p starting bid. Someone will come and pick it up and pay you for the privelage.

Do that. Thumbs Up

Having hi res photos of all the parts on your eBay listing is much easier describing the condition of the parts in detail.

When the winning bidder comes and give you cash for the project bike, do the change of keeper for the V5 online. Job done.

I'll keep that in mind. Thanks all for the advice and the speedy replies. 🙂

You could just slowly feed it into your wheelie bin a bit each fortnight.

Only if it was built after 1985, the pre '85 Japanese built machines were indestructible!

A rotten frame doesn't scare me - I'd patch it using angle iron stolen from roadworks signs.. but Wales is too far for me to travel. Looks like a buyer has been found here already - sell to them. Saves the hassle of an eBay listing.

If I was to pass it on/sell the "motorcycle", how much do I have to give away for it to constitute as a motorcycle? I had a search and can't really narrow it down. Would the DVLA consider the frame and engine as minimum?

I can assure the OP that Paddy can and will pay actual money for pretty much any motorcycle in any condition. Even ones that have been crashed and burned.

Usually about tree fiddy. (perhaps pence rather than pounds in the case of a CG)
