Hello all!
As per title, what’s a good free call recording utility? After some confusion with a warranty company (lying shits), want to make sure that I don’t get caught out again.
Many thanks
Stalk.

Simple answer there isn't a viable one. I ditched my iPhone for that very fact. The one option is costly and means you calling a number before the number you want to dial and then the company save the whole call on their server which you pay a monthly subscription to access. Android (pre 9 pie) cube recorder was/is awesome. You can record part or all of the call at a press of an onscreen icon and export it to Google drive email etc. Android 9 has buggered it up, developers are trying to work around it.

So either pay for the server calls on the iPhone or get an Android phone and don't update to 9 pie. The issue with the server call is I don't think it works with incoming calls as you have to call the server company first. The only other option is to have a small digital recorder next to the iPhone, put call on loud speaker and record that way.

ACR says:

ACR - Another Call Recorder by NLL APPS for iPhone
Unfortunately, iOS does not support call recording.
There is no iPhone version of ACR.

In fact, there are no real two-way call recording apps on App store.
Most of the call recording apps on App store will either;

- Ask you to start recording before calling and put the call on speakerphone.
- Require you to dial an external number.

If you need call real 2 way call recording you must use an Android phone

For evidence I think you have to inform the other party you are recording the call. (For safety and training purposes obviously.)

I had/have a massive hard-on for BMW UK. They record calls (for S and T.)

When I called to speak to the cunts about a claim I told them I was recording the call. The fat-unfucked-hoowur at the other end of the line then informed me that the conversation would be terminated. Shocked

Cunts.
