When I first heard about the Greenland thing I thought "typical Fake News: Trump says something amusing at dinner and it gets passed off as deadly serious by the MSM."

I mean this has to say he's playing for the "Ultimate Troll" title:

But cancelling a state visit on a whim? Warm up the rubber room, guys!

Meh, it wouldn't be the first country in the Arctic Circle that has been purchased by the United States.

Before saying that Greenland isn't for sale, Denmark should have asked him to make an offer. Laughing

Denmark offers to buy the US.

Quote:
If Denmark’s bid for the United States is accepted, the Scandinavian nation has ambitious plans for its new acquisition. “We believe that, by giving the U.S. an educational system and national health care, it could be transformed from a vast land mass into a great nation,” the spokesperson said.

Buying things is an activity that requires money. The US doesn't have any money.

Nah, swapsies! Haven't you seen those documentary channel programmes where the guy starts with a Zippo and ends up with a Mustang by the end of the show?

Trump's starting with Alaska rather than a Zippo...

Why is nobody talking about the fact that this ‘potential purchase’ was invented *PRECISELY* so he could cancel the trip and not have it compared to the warm welcome Barack Obama⁩ will receive when he visits a couple of weeks later.

Sounds plausible.

Apparently it's because instead of politely declining the Danish PM was a bit rude...

Wow, international diplomacy is tricky stuff!

How about the follow ups where Trump and the White House confirm he won't be going to Denmark as they won't discuss selling Grennland, is this trolling as well?

He already has a chunk.

I think we should swapsies The Northern Isles for greenland then start talks to flog off Greenland to Russia.

Do you think Trumph would buy Northern Ireland?

That's partly why it occurred to me to sell him the rest. He seems quite fond of the place.

We'd have to pay someone to take it off our hands.

Funny but my dad says the reason he and a lot of people voted for the EU in the early seventies was because there was a belief that would end the troubles. Shocked
