Only ever done a wheelie by accident.
Too much at stake....older bones, expensive repair bills and not confident to do one with a good outcome. Not for me!
I admire those who can though....looks a right laugh.

My only wheelie was by mistake. It was on a Honda H100 during my CBT.

They and the Yamaha YB100 were good bikes for wheelies, and easy to get it up in car parks etc. Cooler than something like a DT or KMX 125 as you'd expect those to be good for wheelies especially when the restriction bits had gone AWOL.

I loved that bike. When I passed my test though I bought an XS250 custom which was basically a motorised turd that wasn't much faster than my H100, handled like the frame was made of plastic and started when it felt like it.

#Passed my test on a YB100. It was tuned and would wheelie in first and I could keep it up and go to second and then third. I got so good I would do wheelies anywhere until one night I did one on an unlit road. I had no guide for a horizon, the headlight was shining up and I lost my balance at around 40 mph. Off the back I went. Bike landed upside down and flattened the clocks. I'd no leg protection on and it took lots of knee away. Knackered bike, knackered leg and 24 hours later I had to go by train to London. I forgot to keep standing and walking on that train - the knee scab broke and over the space of 4 hours a new scab formed on my knee except it included my trouser leg. When exiting the train I had to haul the trouser leg down level. It removed that scab and I exited the station with blood running down my shoe.

According to that, he'd been riding for a number of years prior to the accident - no wonder he stacked it, he must've been farking knackered!
