So who's the latest go to for 4 bikes on a single policy? I've just got my Carole Nash renewal through and they've upped their broker fee by £35 this year, as well as other rises bringing the increase to 33%.
It's only a cheap TPF&T as usually, all but one are project bikes, but what caught my eye was that £65 of the £196 was for "additional cover", which is UK and EU Breakdown and Legal Expenses, which I had no idea I was paying for.
3 X 250 2T's and a 750 4T, very low mileage, garaged.

There again, £65 for what is pretty comprehensive UK and Euro recovery is a good deal. Especially for older bikes.
Not sure how old yours are but my VFR is a '91 model and anyone else was wanting well over £150 for a months European breakdown cover. Even with the AA on top of my existing membership.
Bikesure do a multi bike policy. ____________________ “Rule one: Always stick around for one more drink. That's when things happen. That's when you find out everything you want to know.”
I did the 2010 Round Britain Rally on my 350 Bullet. 89 landmarks, 3 months, 9,500 miles. |

Not when I didn't ask for it and I'm also covered for £40 a year with my Autoaid Breakdown policy on any bike over 150cc, cars and my campervan. I don;t remember at any stage being asked if I wanted breakdown or legal cover. I only noticed it in the renewal breakdown of cost.

I don't think age matters with Autoaid, I have a '94, 2 x '89 and an '85. Also, the MGW for campervans is now 3.5T as comfirmed by an email sent to them. It;s a great policy this. You pay up front then claim back. I've claimed back 3 sizeable amounts over the years.

Will have a look, thanks. I used to use eBike or whatever they were called, until they went pear shaped. ____________________ TZR250 2MA road, TZR250 1KT road, TZR250 2MA race, TDR250, YZF-750R Boost colours.

I prefer to call them "timeless classics"!
an 85 TZR250 1KT, an 89 TZR250 2MA (with 1kt lights), an 89 TDR250 (11k miles) and a 94 Boost Yamaha colours YZR750R with 18K on the clocks. |
Get them on a classic policy with PJ or FJ. I pay £160 for my 1100 and X5 on one policy with Footman James, the 350 is on a seperate policy with Peter James for £90 ish because it's easier to manage the raft of modifications. I was with Carole Nash until they just slapped a huge premium increase on me one year for no reason, been with the PJ / FJ ever since. |
Looking good, thanks. Down to £141 from £196.
Edit. CN won't remove the breakdown and the best they could do was £147 TPF&T.
FJ came in at £141, with far less excess (£50 as opposed to £250) and fully comp too, with cover on other classics (15 years old) not owned by me, plus £750 gear cover, £100 parts and 4 times the allowed milage.
Cheers folks, that was a great result. ____________________ TZR250 2MA road, TZR250 1KT road, TZR250 2MA race, TDR250, YZF-750R Boost colours.
