My neighbour just handed over some spicy beans and chapattis over the back fence.

Cool

She's trying to sweeten me up because they want the butterfly bush in my front garden cut down.

Her son had to phone me to ask if he could do it, as the tree's hanging over the pavement.

If she'd have sent over the food a few weeks ago, I might have done it of my own accord.

The people in my office bought me some prosecco, a lovely scarf to keep me warm on the bike, and not one but TWO boxes of v.posh chocolates. I've only been at Medical Education since June (and it was only temp job anyway) and I'm only going to be across the road in Paeds anyway. Still at the Brompton in general. Just not with the Med Ed crew.

But how lovely.
And they did a card with soppy things in, too Wub

Once it has flowered cut it hard back...It'll be reet.

In other happiness news I've created a monster of a track.
'Autocratic for the People' - weighing in at a hefty 10 minutes it's sure to be heard all over the Radio 1s

Bit more spit n polish and then it'll be available for free.

The Honley RX3 250 bike of Chinese lovelyness is due for insurance renewal.
Renewal price was £21 higher than last year, ehh?
Phoned up to cancel the policy and got the same policy for £38 cheaper than last year, yay!

Well, way back I did go to watch Joe Corrigan, Peter Barnes et al at Maine road..but no. She's Pepper. Smile

I had a Man City bag n'all. One of those plastic types that stank terrible when wet.

Shows how much I know about football to not get your link.
Must watch some again as I like a good game of footy.

I tried that with my last policy but it's as if they literally didn't want me haha! Even on comparison quotes (aside from phoning directly) they were putting silly numbers up.
When I finally did call to speak to a human he asked why I wasn't going to renew and it felt great telling him some truths: not competitive, insulting quotes etc.

I think the fact that I was was in the strong position that I could cancel helped.
The RX3 is a toy for me and not my main form of transport.
Cancelling and putting it on SORN would not had of been a problem for me.
Not being taken in or intimidated by them (insurance companies) helps.
So many people think that the price quoted is the best price they can get.
Insurance companies want the most money they can get from you.
