Had issues with my varadero cutting out on the idle changed the spark plugs it started fine after changing them went out a few hours later to ride it but it would not start didn't sound like it was turning over just the sound of the starter motor it was as if the kill switch hadn't been turned off (it was I checked) any suggestions as to what to try next

Cutting out...or not starting. Here’s a cutting out answer....
Could be water (condensation) build up in the fuel tank , maybe.
Have you checked the out put of the fuel from tank, clean/ dirty.
Perhaps drain the carb of fuel.

Give a tad more information .

It would idel for a second or 2 then the revs would drop below 1000 and the engine would shut off it started after changing the plugs then a few hours later the engine would not turn over
