The Righteous Gemstones - 8/10

What to say, I like John Goodman and Danny McBride. So far I only watched the first episode but it's already good enough, that I will carry on watching this series.

So so if you are into motorcycle gang stuff with is basically crime.

Some cougar sex if I remember right.

I never got past the first series and never wanted a Sons of Anarchy cut off. Shocked

Watched the first three episodes of American Vandal.

It's a bit odd to say the least, but I'll keep going.

I loved American Vandal.
As you say, takes a bit of getting into, although my incredibly immature nature kept me watching at least episodes one and two.

Season two (first episode) was a bit ... out there.
I almost didn't bother. Puke

But in fact, I kind of like the series as a whole.
Are they/have they even made a series 3?

Living with yourself - (Netflix) 8/10

Paul Rudd did a great job, while it was kind of odd to see Aisling Bea in this. Normally she's this joyful funny Irish girl doing her bit, but in this she was quite different. That being said, this was a good show, worth the time.

Telling you the plot would be spoiling it, so if you've got netflix (or any other means of getting to this show) just watch the first episode that explains pretty much all of it.

How have I missed this?
Cool
Any series opening with a Holden screeching to a stop followed immediately by extreme violence can't be at all bad.

Get Shorty - 9/10!

Chris O'Dowd goes from a mobster to a movie producer and he did amazing job doing so. I still remember him as Roy from the It crowd, well he gets very dark in the Get Shorty show, this role actually suits him.

Ray Romano did a good job also. I don't know his work much, other than he's a comedian of some sort.

Now for the show itself. The plot is rather fresh, well told and the production is well polished. I'm half way through the first season and so far it is very entertaining. TL; DR: Give it a go, if you can. Thumbs Up

Pose.
Found it by accident on BBC iPlayer. Its set in the world of the eighties voguing dance seen in New York. I thought it would just be camp nonsense but it has more depth than it initially appears to dealing with the whole eighties aspirationalism thing and more.

Living with yourself - 9/10

Really enjoyed this. Only 8 episodes and 30mins a pop, smashed it in two nights.

The OA 8/10

Science fiction multiple dimensions type show. This is a good one.

The Goldbergs - 6.5/10

It's quite funny. Nice touch that it's mostly all true. Little bit of a grower, currently on season 8 and has 24 episodes per season. Reminds me of Malcolm in the Middle a bit.

Modern Love - 7/10

Loads of love stories. Very touchy feely... I really enjoyed it as I'm a soft git, definitely one to watch witht wifey. First 4 episodes are the best, last 4 not so much.

Kominsky Method - 6/10

About two old codgers living their life. It's not bad, funny parts here and there. Worth a watch.

OMELETO. YouTube, channel with lots of high quality short stories. Do a YouTube search for Omeleto, many many enjoyable short stories and a few longer (circa 60 mins).

Atypical - 9/10

Just binged the new season in 2 sittings. Really enjoy this one... coming of age type show following a kid with autism. Wish I could savour them a bit more and not binge but can't help it.

I am so hooked on Rake right now.

Then I am going to have to go back and watch a bit of The Kominski Method S1, cos I remember that I really liked it but I need to watch it again to remember why Laughing before I start in on S2.

Age of The Living Dead.

Post Vampire apocalypse 'Murica has been quarantined from the rest of the world. The Vampires have the east and the human survivors the west with a no-mans land in between.

The acting is poor and not helped by the terrible dialogue but oddly it has me hanging in there to see what happens next.

Its setting me up in good stead to have the dingo-lingo off-pat when I turn up in Sydney on Monday Dance!

Getting that down-home ironic Antipodean attitude back for the duration of my trip.
But with a snotty-bitch English flavour.
Oh yes.

I'm mid-way through the first series of Mr Robot and I'm hooked.

I didn't think I'd enjoy it as I know little about computer hacking but how wrong I was.

OK. I have finished the new season of Grace & Frankie (hilarious) and am now casting about for something new to watch.

When I was in NZ I tried to convince my mother that she would really relate to Grace & Frankie because its EXACTLY the right demographic for her (80+ years old, white, rich middle class) - problem is, its so much the right demographic that she and her boyfriend (84) don't have Netflix because they are too old to cope with the technology.

Rolling Eyes

My brother in law gave them a Chromecast (?) so that they could get [whatever you can get on a Chromecast] but they don't know how to hook it up, and they didn't want me to try, in case they lost the channel that shows all the Dads Army, Coronation Street, and westerns that the boyfriend watches when my mum's gone to bed Laughing
