I know down south a couple of weeks ago, you had wall to wall sunshine.

But apart from the moorland fires in February and the lovely week around Easter (When I was in Spain).

It's been crxp.

This is usually my favourite time of year on the bike, late evenings, empty roads, 180 / 190 miles after work through North Yorks/Cumbria.

How long will this eternal rain go on, it feels like winter, it's worse than winter (I did get out on the bike in Feb ffs).

It's the same here, down south. Box Hill will have to wait until next week it seems.

8 weeks of continuous good weather this time last year.

I'll never live long enough to witness that again.

I own lots of coats and a car. Thumbs Up

Disgusting isnt it, really puts me in a downer.
Fukin mid June and I step outside thinking its November.
Barely seen any bikers and cant blame them. Spotted one poor sod wobbling around a roundabout while the weather was going full Noahs Ark around him.

I rode the bike through a 2ft river yesterday. Problem was, it was across the road on the backup route to work, as the other route is already under several feet of water. Apparently, my boots are not *that* waterproof. when almost submerged.

June's been pants - but my favourite time to ride is way before this and prior to foliage obscuring lines of sight. March / April are loads better imo. Lots of dry lines, good views ahead and around - just wish the evenings were longer.

Yeah it's pretty rubbish; the mileage on my hack bike is way above where it should be and the nice bike is barely turning a wheel. Sad

Riding in the other day had my heated grips at 50%! Crazy.

I commiserate with you all and remind you that it's absolutely no fun at all sweating one's arse off outside, day in, day out, at 30+C.
Colorado at 8,500' last week was bloody lovely though... Mr. Green

Next week I shall mostly be griping about high humidity. Sad

Id take that over today.
Had a nice ride out, couple of light showers within the first hour which quickly dried out.
An hour from home, the heavens opened, absolutely pissening. Jeans got soaked. Time for a hot chocolate. Legit like November out there

I actually felt myself getting angry about it today when we had a downpour.
I cant even ride the bike as i fucked my hand, still getting me down though.
And people wonder why we are all a bunch of whining cunts on this island.

Rode 275 mile today and was stupidly lucky to avoid getting satched on several occasions. At the end of it all, the bike had been in the garage barely ten minutes and fucking chucked it down. Parts of Lincolnshire are like the Everglades.

Just recalled this post, now 4 months later.

Sure we had some nice days, but I’m making the biking window from around the 20th June until around the 20th September, 3 months.

I’ve already sorned my summer ride and I don’t remember the cold so early.

I’ve been riding 16 years in Feb and this is this worst ever.

This year I finally went to Europe and well it rained.

It’s not so long since we had gorgeous Indian summer October’s.

Nope, no idea what you lot mean, it's still hotter here than Satan's arsehole after he's been on the vindaloo, i.e. 33C today and yesterday the locality I was in was a suntrap and hit 37C.

FFS... Have I stumbled onto a Harley forum?

Since when did a spot of rain or a single digit Outside temperature make biking a taboo?

You should all be ashamed
I remember finding threads and threads about wet weather gear and waterproof ground sheets for camping during periods of inclement weather.

'BCF. The Home of Fair Weather Bikers'.

I am an all round biker, I have a summer ride and a commute.

I'm the twxt with muffs, heated grips, over coats of leathers, in the pxxing rain every day.

But it wouldn't be much to ask for to have more than 3 months, where the weather isn't shxte.

It's because of the lack of a certain life saving rain removing item, called Doh!
