OK apologies here for thickness but I'm wondering if a certain device can still be bought. I 'lost' mine during a messy divorce (c*nt) and am looking to see if they can be had at reasonable prices..

It was a portable hard drive. It had an internal battery and had a small led-type screen on the front which showed battery life and told me if data was being transferred. Around its perimeter it had many various slots for memory cards.
I used it with photography. It was far easier than carrying a small laptop and external hard drive - it went into my camera bags and was very portable.

Probably old technology and not made now.. or are they?
Yes I could buy lots of smaller capacity memory cards and use/carry those and I probably will if this device cannot be had these days.

Anyone?

I have a WD battery powered drive kicking around somewhere, I think it has an SD card slot...

Is it urgent? I'd need to check if there's any pr0n important documents on mine before selling it on Smile

How the __ck was I not finding those on searches? I'd looked everywhere and had assumed the technology was now redundant..
Huge thank you for that.

Umm Easy-X one of my 'interests' is getting hold of old memory cards and peeling back those layers. I've found some raunchy stuff over the years..
Depends on price but you let me know.

Found it!

It's a WD Passport Drive. No idea of the capacity just yet but bound to be somewhere between 500GB and 2TB (as there's a 2.5" drive in there.)

Battery powered, USB3.0, inbuilt WiFi hotspot(?!) and the requested SD card reader. IIRC it can be programmed to auto-copy the SD cards inserted.

Battery is flat as a witch's tit at the moment Sad If it comes back to life I'll let you know Thumbs Up
