1) Any suggestions, other that than heat, Plusgas, twisting, wiggling and hitting with a hammer, for separating exhaust mid & rear sections that have rusted together? Especially when they're still on the bike.

2) Is Permatex Nickle Anti-sieze worth using on new exhaust unions? And is it really any better than copper slip (or is that just marketing schpiel)?

How are the sections held together? If it's possible, you could undo the union and ride like that for a while, assuming that when it does separate it won't actually fall off.

If you have indeed tried all the above to no avail I'd be tempted to make a little split with a screwdriver where they meet and sort it after seperation - wd40/plusgas it whilst twisting it. Its got a clamp covering it anyway, right?
