CBF500A6 replacement ignition advice needed

It's been a small problem on and off but after picking up the bike from the shop the ignition switch is really playing up.

I popped in Sainsbury's, put the steering lock on, after shopping I got back to the bike and the key wouldn't turn,
spent about 10 minutes and finally got the steering lock released.

I need to replace the ignition barrel which I can't get from Honda so this means a 3rd party part, I know it comes in a
kit but where would be the best place to get a reliable one?

Has the pin/plunger been lubed?
If so it may be bent with some kids trying to steal the bike!
The steering lock is no problem for a novice thief to overcome.
A pro thief will just lift the bike into a van.
I`ve never used one in 40+ years.
Why not carry a chain and fix it to something immovable.
