Fair do Zarco. Showing that the head is the main factor.
Loz is showing he just wants the season to end.

Fabio bashed but fast.
Vinny surely on the podium.

Think it's going to be a good 'un.

Well, it was more of the same from 93. Good work by Cal and Jack though.

That overtake at lukey heights by MM was a tad aggressive all things considered.
What we need is another rider willing to punt the other off the track (but Rossi isn't that man anymore).

Feel for Vinny and Fabio.

Was a good race. Thumbs Up

Damn straight.

Particularly liked Rossi's start. Did I read a week or so back that Yam poached an electronics geezer from Ducati?

Well could this be a race that sees VR on the podium? I'd like to think so.
He's got good race pace.
FP3 may hint at it.

Here's another boring photo of Marquez... Sleeping

Yeah of course he saved it.

Couldn't save it, when it counted though!

Apparently, he claims he wasn't following Quartararo, for a tow, despite following him out, following him into the pits, following him out of the pits and following him again until he binned it!

And we're supposed to believe that bullshit, FFS! Rolling Eyes

He'd been following Fabio who was getting wise to it...hence a slow lap.
Cold tyres and a spectacular highside. You could tell he was proper dazed. It was a nasty one. Loz also took a tumble just make him feel even more crap.

Marquez was doing what has become commonplace throughout the paddock. Can't think of anyone who doesn't grab a tow when their pace is off. Iannone is pretty 'good' at it.

I like how they all look behind when the rider in front turns to see who's about to grab a tow. Laughing

Anyway that aside it has the ingredients for a belting race eh.
Don't think it'll need any rain to make it good this time.

Bad news about that Indonesian lad who died in the ATC support race.

Indeed and falling off when you've cooled your tyres down is probably not a fair price but it does remind them of what happens - whatever they may say they were doing that wasn't what they were doing.

Race should be good.

Would quite like to see Zarco as 1st or 2nd Honda, just to prove a point.

Think Zarco put a good shift in. Cal looks like he and Lorenzo don't need another race. Good work by Maverick though. Properly ran away with it on a 'slower' bike.

"the turbulence disturbed my pace a lot"

Well maybe being behind everyone doesn't help eh Jorge. Laughing

It did have the makings of a good race but turned into an 'interesting' one instead.

Strange how the satellite Yams were off the boil after pretty much mashing lap records in the lead up.
I saw Vale making more mistakes than in the past which could be the greasy track conditions many were complaining of.Still a decent result.

MM showing he (whether we like it or not) is a freak. Where were the other Hondas?...well Zarco got forced into a crash but the others were nowhere.

Valencia next where last season MM didn't do so well even before he crashed out. The Dukes do quite well there so maybe a good scrap with Dovi and Vinni.

Everybody knew he wouldn't be at Honda next year but i didn't think he would retire.
That being said i think he lost his bottle even before he left Yamaha.

I'd be more inclined to say his self-preservation gene kicked in because he certainly never lacked 'bottle'. That crash in Assen appears to have sealed it.

I'll miss him, being a big fan of the smooth style riders but some parts of his persona I wasn't a fan of.

Anyways, onwards and forwards.

Having developed a bike that, seemingly, only one person can ride successfully, on a regular basis, it could get very "interesting" for Honda if MM was to switch to another manufacturer.

Stats say it's unlikely to affect Honda's ability for too long.

Constructor Championships since 2002:
Honda have won 12
Yamaha 5
Ducati 1 their one and only top class constructors win.

Winners on a Honda since 2002 10
Yamaha 7
Ducati 1

About time we had a Suzuki winner and for the amount of cash KTM splurge they're overdue a podium or 3.

His riding was never boring, too good at it. To see him show emotion like he did as he retired is a shame. If he'd done it more when he was winning, he'd have won a lot more fans.

eh? Jorge was not one to hide his light under a bushel after a win. I'm sure we'll be seeing plenty of replays showing his victory celebrations. The one where he jumped into that minging greenish looking pond was memorable.

I think his was his dummy spitting abilities when he didn't win and the OTT bravado oh and beating the 'butter wouldn't melt in his mouth' outgoing champ that didn't enamour him to the masses.

Watching that bio-pic of him, the beginning shows a very young boy already serious, already pushed by a OTT father. Think that's when I started to understand the pressure that Jorge would put on himself.
Complicated chap.

Also recall the time when he crashed on Friday -Pinned collar bone- Finished 5th Sunday. The time he crashed and after coming to a stop was making his way to a marshall's post holding his hand. Took off his glove and dropped it only to turn around and pick it back up as he'd left a part of his finger in it.

He has nothing else to prove and I wish The King of Smooth all the best.

Oh, I agree. I just always thought him a little too cold when interviewed. A little bit rain man when he should've been ace Ventura sometimes. And he took it to 46 when he was at his peak too!

In the bio-pic, they showed him at home and it looked a sad sterile place.

I read that Cal Crutchlow recently beat a load of top-notch drivers in a kart race one of which was on the podium in a F1 race earlier this year.
Rossi had a spin in a Ferrari F1 car and IIRC was only a second behind Schumacher's best time.

Bikers really are the best. Very Happy

Zarco has been offered a crusty old Ducati for next year and said he'd rather have a good bike in Moto2. Wonder if he wished he'd kept his thoughts silent when he had a factory KTM.

Today in FP4 Marc was being a reet tw@t when he pushed past Karol. One day somebody is going to stick one on his nose and it isn't before time. I mean it's FP4...it accounts for nothing more than 'Do the tyres last the race' not Q1 or Q2.

Alex could be Marc's teambro for next year. He once said that Alex was the better rider...yeah let's see how that pans out.

Miller is Ducati's best bet of a decent finish if he doesn't fall off, so it could be the usual suspects at the sharp end for tomorrow.

No respect given to Jorge from his team mate.

It's a cut throat business.

The king is dead, long live the new king etc etc.

They were only team mates for 12 months and in that 12 months, one part of the team contributed not an awful lot.

It's the way the media likes to play it.

Random Rossi stat; since world championship racing began in 1949 there’s been about 940 Grands Prix, of which Rossi has competed in more than 400.
