The DR600 is a great bike, but a tad heavy.

I had mine axle deep in mud and it pulled its way out , no problem.
Fortunately I never dropped mine so never had to pick it up, not something I was ever looking forward to.
There is a definite knack to kick starting it, you'll get there in the end, just don't give it any throttle as you kick it!!!!!!!

On the road, the front wheel is rarely on the tarmac!

Still pissed off that mine got nicked, bastards!

I've picked up a DR600 a good few times - they're a decent trail bike and not that heavy - especially compared to the newer ones with electric boot etc.
Heavier than the 2 stroke trail bikes, but will also sit on the motorway fine.

You won't be the most agile; but can put along in 2nd or 3rd gear with not much effort needed and all the go you'd want.
