Recently rented a Yam Super Tenere in San Fran and took it through Yosemite. Some gorgeous roads and top riding. Here's a short vid of some highlights, hope you like!

Looks like it was a pleasant day, not too chilly there in October?

Yeah it was surprisingly pleasant TBH. I took lots of gear, just in case, but it was only really the early mornings that were a bit chilly, 3-5C. Going over the Tiago Pass there was almost zero snow, just the odd small blob on some high peaks. Coldest was up around Lake Tahoe first thing. It was the wild fires that were more the issue, with route 140 shut a couple weeks before and several valleys all burnt out. The following weekend was when they cut the power from huge areas...

Overall, no problem managing chill with some thermal liners in my textiles and a thin jumper. I did take my Gerbings heated gloves (with some batteries), which were handy to take the edge off them cool mornings, but TBH weren't really needed. Biggest problem was the huge variations in temperature from the mountains to back in the Bay area.
