That BMW though. What on Earth are people thinking? So many bad things about it.

Was going to link in to that Tron Motorcycle that was always sat on eBay but it's not there. Surely no-one bought it?

They are reliable in a ' fix it with a hammer' sort of way, so not actually relaible , but fixable at the side of the road. The design is based on the DKW designs reparated from the master race after the last lot , the same as the BSA Bantam and Harley Davidson 125 ( you think I'm joking don't you) also same roots as the MZ's. Utilitarian biking for the socialist masses. This is an attempt to sell a few in the west in the seventies trail bike craze , on their MX credentials . My mates Dad had one ( my mate bent the forks on it too)

I was given a CZ once, and someone else I knew had a CZ, he helped me with it. I asked about wiring, he laughed and said, that just becuase his bike and wires of a certain colour there would be no guarantee mine would. Indeed, mine were all red. Shocked

I had a Jawa 350 twin exactly like that Laughing seriously all the wires were red.
It made the wiring cluster in the headlamp a bit of a mindfuck!

Woohoo! This is fun.

Here's another. I particularly enjoy the description. I wonder whether someone like David Beckham or Jamiroquai will come along and buy it. Particularly impressed by how they kept costs down - I recognise those pod filters: the big online parts retailer beginning with "W" sells them for £12 a pop, but they can probably be sourced for less from elsewhere. And the gauze and headlight, etc. Classic and thrifty choices, and the obligatory brown leather seat, too! I also recognise that Chinese cable-driven speedo. It's excellent value: from experience they're good for about 150 miles, which equates to about 3 years' use (i.e. 3 rides to a local annual bike show). Fork gaiters - I got mine from China - they're about good enough, and I think they cost a fiver.

For a business claiming such fame and recognition, I'm surprised at the state of the grammar in the listing.

Is the rear shock a standard one or has it had a leg (held in place with a grub screw) added to lengthen it?

No idea. Possibly a longer shock than normal, or a cunningly extended one, as you suggest.

Good God that is horrible.

The CX 500 was called the Plastic Maggot when it first came out and it wasn't for any complimentary reasons. Just why?

That's so that their listing for the 2020 CBR1000 is the oldest on eBay which also helps towards it being shown at the top of the results when ordered by most relevant.

And "£1000.00 deposit ORDER NOW !! price TBC".

It's also listed on eBay:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Custom-chopper-Yamaha-virago-535/352887247431

Doesn't look good for that £1500 with 1 bid and one day to go. TBH at that price (£400) you could budget for trying to unfuckerate it, poor thing!

Check out the forks on the eBay listing. Painted with copper Hammerite. Not only that but running down when wet and spreading to expose paint underneath.
Perhaps they're selling it to fund new spectacles?

That is horrendous. Copper hammerite/smoothrite or whatever it is looks naff.

Wrapped down pipes and no mudguard. Sick

And what's with the rag round the fork stanchions? Is it just cool or to mop up leaking fork oil?
