To me Christmas is a time for kids, and kids of an age where Father Christmas exists and the lights and decorations are magical.

Once my kids grew out of it wifie and I never bothered with decorations. The only thing we used to do was a daft Christmas tree made out of anything except a tree!

Now my grand kids are at that age I've been told to dump the 'Bah humbug' and get in the Christmas spirit (not the rum version though).

So yesterday, being December I bit the bullet and started decorating my boat ready for them to come down to the illuminated boat festival on Saturday. (It's getting more lights tomorrow and a Santa Sled)

Wifie wants some outside lights around the house as well but I've vetoed that because I'd probably fall off the ladder and end up in hospital over Christmas.

So come on chaps and chapesses, admit you are a closet Christmas fan and show us your fancy decorations around your house and especiailly illuminated bikes!

We will be having our Christmas Curry because baby jesus loved a Balti.

Plus it's mildly amusing when the fools in the curry house who ordered the trad turkey meal start complaining it's crap.

Don't bother with decorations, won't be sending cards. Buy the kids a few things, the rest expect nothing I expect lots of presents naturally.

Well I think they're getting the idea now so I may get a pair of walking socks and blowjob...Love me Gran I do.

I doubt I'll be putting a tree up but horse shoe Xmas trees have proven to be incredibly popular. I can't keep up with demand here.

Xmas for me sees me hiding away after seeing family. Am I miserable? Yes.

F absolute FS you myrrh-thless cunts. 🙄

Celebrate the solstice, the ending of the winter, the lengthening of the days.
Celebrate the coming new seasons.
Start again/over.
Make amends.
Lighten up.
Get hammered.
Eat some nice food junk/gourmet/gastronomique contrivance what you fancy.
It's The Time of Year.
Goodwill to All.

Don't let your inner Bah Humbug infect the rest of us. Fuck off to Scarborough for the week if that's how you intend to roll.

Merry Christmas, Hanuka, Ramadan, Davali, and cetera.

^^ This.
I used to be a bit miserable about it all [many moons ago], but I came to realise that it's a celebration of the winter solstice, the tipping point of days getting longer once more. Some colourful lights to brighten up the cold, miserable & short days.
Just because Christians hijacked it to celebrate sky ghost's imaginary snotty kid, doesn't mean you shouldn't get pissed, put some lights up and enjoy it a bit.
