Well thats today changed, nice run of weather all week so planned to ride out somewhere, get up to windy as fek day.. and not just cos of a weeks sprouts.
so,, tomorrow it is then.. maybe over weekend too..

by the way its only 30mph gusts but was hard work last ride in it so avoiding.. if had to use bike i would but its only a pleasure thing.

I dread those days where it's windy. Worst spots are when you have continuous wall and a farm gate - can guarantee the wind will want to take you across to other lanes when passing that gate.

yeah, did a run to cleethorpes the other week, gusts were only around 30/35mph but it felt more. felt like bike was tipping over a few times, and at points id not expect it. fields were ok, then got caught in built up..
today was 20mph but was nice ride out. chilly ish but good.

never bothers me unless i'm crossing the humber bridge and i pass one of the towers

We used to have trouble with it where they cut the tree-line back in Rendelsham forest along side the runway. It was right at the start of the speed trap where they had a checker board in the middle of the runway. You could catch a side gust that pushed you towards the board. Not easy to adjust your line at 190+, you gotta shut off to make the bike turn and no-one wants to do that.
