Project crock begins.

Yes, I know you can buy them ready to go but this one is going to have opening jaws and maybe moving eyes.

Don't forget the tick tock.

I bought a used Karcher window vac for the shower tiles etc.
Got it for a tenner, down from £15 because the seller said it had lost a lot of performance and had seen better days.
So I preceded to dismantle and clean it, discovering a substantial amount of gunk and enough hair to keep Elton John in syrups for the foreseeable.
Needless to say the original performance has been restored.

A Toshiba 40LL3A63DB 40" Smart Full HD LED TV. Poxy thing.

Why Poxy thing?

Don't like the stand.
Don't like the remote control.
The EPG is very clumsy.
Out of the box, the picture looks washed out.
The sound is very average.
Haven't used the smart features yet, so it's operating in non-smart mode. If I can think of a use for the smart features for the TV considering where it is and why it's there I will use them. I will have to plough through a humungous manual.

Binge brake cleaning?
Don't think I ever bought any, can you drink it.

You can drink anything - might kill you afterwards though!
I use brake cleaner when 'prepping' metal things for painting. For some reason it works well when the paint being applied is that Plastikote stuff. I use Plastikote because of the vast range of interesting colours compared to Hammerite/Smoothrite.
I bought the aerosol version because I was lazy and they were in front of me - I'll be ordering the bottled stuff next time.

I use lots. At the weekend I made a (metal) dog, 3 frogs, a tortoise, two wall turtles and I painted 3 original flat irons.

LG ftw. I really like mine.
Picture, style and functionality are all great but the best feature is the sound.
My old much needed sound bar fo my old telly is redundant.

Its not all singing and dancing but I'd rather have a cheaper TV I'm happy with than a more expensive one that disappoints.

OK. This one was 248 squiddicks. 40" was the top possible size for its situation. It's just a pity about the eEPG/remote. My guess is that the picture & sound can be adjusted easily enough, the bass needs to be UP and the treble can stay where it is. It will be on the wall when someone fits a bracket so the stand will then go. Not my sort of thing, but the smart features might be worthwhile if I can work out how to use them remotely, I only got a "smart" TV because of unknown possibilities in that line.

My own TV is an old thing called a Regza 40trv753, which I got off someone second-hand some time ago, maybe 6 or 7 years, for £100. It works, so it's OK.

Yes (though mph on inner dial), it doesn't matter the speedo simply indicates forward motion is occurring, much over 40 and the needle bounces around in 10mph arcs Laughing ..... I love it, my gsxr and zzr are great bikes but this is different and incredibly enjoyable.
