As for the navigating apps, my favorite one is Waze. It allows tracking all the traffic activities on the road - crashes, jams, even police. Here is the source to search for some other alternative apps reviews. I also like Maps.me, MapFactor, CoPilot apps. But Waze is still my favorite one.

Resurrecting this thread.

I've been using autotrip and it's been pretty good. Widget plugs into OBD port of the car. logs all the trips then I deal with it online. Missed nothing, exports a report to a spreadsheet at the end of the month. I just had to select the odd journeys it misclassified as work/personal because my working hours are fairly random.

Unfortunately, they just went bust, taking 6 months of subscription with them. I do however still have their tracker which they aren't getting back unless they give me my money back.

I wonder if anyone has come across anything similar? This was literally fit and forget.
