Thanks all for the various replies, in answer to your questions, theare to reasons

1 to bypass regional restrictions

2 download as we all do.

The free service I used until not long ago, suddenly got really slow and eventually stopped working all together.

I dont mind paying for a service, but wanted some of your collective experiences rather than going in blind.

Unlike Ste I never had issues while downloading via the VPN, yet when ever I forget to connect, BT sends me one of them loving emails right away
