Which of the Chinese suppliers is best. That is most reliable, cheapest, fastest post etc?

I want to get some radio control gear and bits but if it's going to take months or not be that much cheaper than ebay/Amazon I will just use them.

Any comments on Ali Express, Wish or any others I don't know about?

Thanks awfully chaps. Thumbs Up

AliExpress is okay I guess. 8/10 orders have turned up on time. A few get lost in the postal system. It's a bit like eBay though: a front for lots of little suppliers. I've had disputes with eBay that have worked out in the end but I haven't used AliExpress enough to test their dispute system.

I dunno if they'll have want you want but I've found fasttech very reliable over the years.

I've bought a few things from Banggood without problems.
Except they will pester you with emails for tatt for ever more unless you block them. Usually it's about two weeks, but some stuff is held in EU warehouse much quicker.

AliExpress went downhill. Used to be a good middle man for bits and was always fair with disputes but around 3 years ago I stopped using them due to some incidents..
I would use the site for my own bits and started bringing into the UK some torch kits. They were 4 18650 batteries, a simple charger and a normal led torch but the torches were quite special - the reflector was arranged so that the torches could shine a long way off. I was selling the kits to folk who walked dogs at night, local gamekeepers and so on. Lightweight, lots of light output etc.

For me what happened was some suppliers began 'missing' parts of orders. One less torch and so on. The quality also dropped dramatically. It was if they could see I was buying regularly and began slipping in mistakes or faulty units. It was several suppliers doing this.
I raised the issue with AliExpress and basically they sided with suppliers! They'd ask me to prove a torch arrived broken and when I'd send a video of it not working/switching on they'd say things such as it was me not actually pressing the switch in the video. b*stards.
I got frustrated and went off for a w*nk or whatever. I walked away from AliExpress because of them siding with sh*tty suppliers like that.
I don't buy cheap and sell on stuff now but it is something to be aware of.
Oh and most of those type of sites are actually owned by the same bloke. They use different names that's all.

Personally I'd probably pay more and stay with the better support that eBay or Amazon offer.

Always a lottery. Even if you are being supplied direct from the same supplier, there is no garauntee that the stuff they send this time will be the same, as good or as quick as the stuff they sent last time.

I'm surprised anyone would be asking at the moment. Delivery times are hit or miss at the best of times, with the country at the start of a nationwide quarantine you could be waiting a while - obviously not a problem if it's for a backburner project.

It's a total backburner project to be done on the cheap which is why I'm going Chinese.

Wifie in one of her more bizarre moments bought me an alligator head. Rolling Eyes

Now I've seen these radio controlled but I want to do this one with an opening mouth and a tick tock (after being reminded by rentec that all self respecting crocs have swallowed a clock) as well as being powered.

Just ready for the summer and some pretty girls swimming in the lakes. Cool

So true..
I signed up to Alibaba.com and copied & pasted the usual quotation request, to four (I thought different) suppliers. Three of the replies I got were from the same person.
Then got bombarded by emails from several other companies, whom I presume were connected to each other.

I did buy 130 18650 lithium batteries from an ebay like setup called dhgate.com which turned out ok.
