My VFR has auto cancelling indicators and they’re rubbish. They cancel when they want to and rarely get it right, ending up being more of a hindrance than a help. Particularly bad leaving/joining a motorway as they typically cancel halfway through the manoeuvre.

You learn to work with bike indicators. Just a time thing.

Regarding indicators, you simply need to get into a routine of some kind when you are turning, something like mirror, shoulder, indicate, shoulder, turn, mirror, cancel indicator, mirror Thumbs Up

Thanks for all your kind words.

Been a few days now, and a commute and it's been good.

I'm finding the indicator game a little easier, I hover my finger over the button a little after indicating.

Current niggle is my gear, I carry the handle bar lock, disc lock and massive chain and padlock in a backpack. This and my laptop ect is getting a little much.

The railings I chain my bike to have quite a few bikes chains already attached, so may leave mine there overnight in the week when commuting. Not too sure.

Again, thanks for the kind advice.

For carrying stuff, invest in a set of panniers, a rear bag that goes on the pillion seat or a tank bag rather than having it on your back.

That handlebar lock, disc lock and massive chain and padlock in a backpack could be very painful to land on in the event of a crash. Shocked

Yeah, I have been told that today in work.

I have ordered a little passenger seat bag that will hold my handle bar lock and disk lock whilst riding.

I'll check out panniers, not sure they will hold a laptop, but will have a nose. Anything specific I should be looking for? For a YBR125?

I prefer to park my bike in a carpark with armed police as guards.

Run a green LED and 470ohm resistor (cost is literally pennies on ebay) up the mirror stalk, and position so you can see it. Tap into indicator wiring. Made some of these up at the request of the local training school, surprisingly effective.

Every day is a new day to learn new things, no one is an expert. 😉

I'm with you on that, well almost with you in terms of they are basic tests but we all know there are some car drivers that should never have a licence to drive a car, but this only emphasis that it's at least partly luck!

I'm with you on the clocks aswell actually, although I've got used to looking out for clocks on churches etc.

I suppose you'll be asking about a gear indicator next.. lol whatever other people say I wish I had an indicator to reassure me of what gear I was in sometimes (more for coming down into 2nd and preventing accidentally coming down into 1st)

Some bikes, including mine don't even have a fuel gauge. At least you know how much petrol you've got left. lol

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

I bet 80% of car drivers would fail their full bike license first try.

That is all Question
