This woman, Aly Bond, makes fabulous bags and holdalls from old leathers. She tells some fantastic stories of how she repurposed leathers that have saved racers lives or that have sentimental value.
The link below is a FB link - sorry - but if you google Aly Bond Bespoke you'll find examples of her stuff, which is pretty cool

Followed her stories for a while as some of my club racing mates know her.
The bags she makes from old leathers are very clever and considering the work she puts in, not too expensive either.
She's very passionate about re-use and wastes very little of the leather. ____________________ TZR250 2MA road, TZR250 1KT road, TZR250 2MA race, TDR250, YZF-750R Boost colours.

I like that idea, unfortunately the last set of leathers I had were so totally ruined by tarmac, blood and Paramedic's scissors that I doubt there would be enough intact and non-bloodstained leather to make more than a small purse. ____________________ Current bike: ST1100 "Big Red" |

I wouldn't want anything made from the leathers of a rider who'd had too many close calls in them either. ____________________ Chickenystripgeezer's Biking Life (Latest update 19/10/18) Belgium, France, Italy, Austria tour 2016 Picos de Europa, Pyrenees and French Alps tour 2017 Scotland Trip 1, now with BONUS FEATURE edit, 5/10/19, on page 2 Scotland Trip 2 Luxembourg, Black Forest, Switzerland, Vosges Trip 2017
