They closed the Henge? Not good. Sad

This end of Wilts is shut down. Even the army are starting to throw extra barriers up on their gates. Amazing to see, if mildly worrying.

While I think solo motorcycling around my local lanes is a pretty harmless thing to do, when doing it yesterday I saw lots of (vulnerable) people in groups in any town/village I passed through...... not a harmless thing to do.

It would be hypocritical of me to preach that people should stay indoors while posting pictures of me and bikes in the sun. So no more bike jollies for me for a bit. I'm a key worker so won't get total cabin fever as I have to commute at least once a week.

I'm not a fan of having my liberty taken away, I spent my 20's in uniform swearing to defend that liberty. I think though it's time we all accept it for a short period.

For those of you here on BCF that work in the Healthcare system and those of you out tramping on the roads keeping us supplied, good luck. You are the soldiers in this and I salute you.

This was Monday, day before lockdown. I did think it was selfish to head out, because spannering myself / others is definitely something NHS would not have needed.

But still went out. Took it steadier. And compared to a week ago, there was a lot more traffic. Especially around Petersfield, it was busy!

Stopped for fuel twice + grabbed food from same place, used nitrils.

Guildford to Christchurch and back, 190 miles. And that marked the end of "the season".

Then did a quick bit of shopping

Very quick.

Don't say that you'll be inviting he whose name shalst not be spoken to a thread of positivity.

I headed out on Saturday last week for one last go; didn't stop and speak to anyone, already had fuel so didn't need to stop.

RoadRiders got thoroughly run in and now I have a problem - I'm scraping solid metal objects on an Enfield Laughing Gotta slow it down....

Went here to see this - I'd seen it before, but it's as good a place as any to ride out to around here; the roads through the Dengie Pensinsula are good when the traffic is quiet.

It's the boat....that ROCKED. Radio Caroline. Still broadcasting.

And then I stopped back at Hanningfield Reservoir for a break on the way back.

That Civic Type R there was one of about 8 cars out on a jolly. There were a group of three I had followed earlier - a GT86, Golf R and something else I can't quite remember. I think they were quite upset I'd stuck with them on an Enfield Laughing.

Last one for a while I guess. When it's all over first job will be to take the KTM in and get shot.
