As it's a temporary fix then try a strip of metal (beer can) over the hole you've slapped the gungun into. Hold it in place with a jubilee clip.

Without seeing it, probably the best bet for a bodge would be something metal to wrap around it a few times, with gun gum or exhaust paste sealing the edges and secure with cir-clips.

Whenever I tried gun gun on its own it seems to crack and fall off within a couple of weeks.

How much is a new exhaust?

About £100

Where is the hole? Post a picture of it if you can.

It's not the hole in the end, is it?

Just buy a new one. If its blowing in one place within a couple of weeks it'll be blowing in 6.

Depends where and what size the hole is.

Forgot the brand (it was a while ago), but I've used similar to a bandage you soak in water then wrap around the exghaust where the hole is. Dries rock hard and seals it.

YBR exhausts has a small hole for condensation in the pipe at the lowest point to the floor.

This is normal and should not be closed or sealed.
