Hi

Below is a short video of a loop ride we did around Garmisch, in southern Germany in 2019

You may have heard of Garmisch, as its near here Motorrad Days hold their annual bike meet normally with around 40,000 bikes, although its cancelled for 2020 due to coronavirus

We were based at a small hotel called Hotel Rheinischer, we were on our BMW R1200 GSA Triple Black with friends Kidge Elder on his BMW R1200GS, Wayne Morris on his KTM 1290 S Adventure, and Paul Yarrow who filmed it on his Triumph 1200 Explorer

The sunny day started in the early 20c’s rising to 29c later, as we went for a short ride of 117 miles around Germany’s highest peak, the ‘Zugspitze’ mountain (2,962m) on our ‘rest day’ at the hotel. The route took us via the beautiful glacial lakes of the ‘Kochelsee’ & the ‘Walchensee’.

It looks great on a Smart TV, as it’s filmed in HD.

Just a small reminder of normal life which hopefully will return soon

Germany is definitely on my list of places to go, especially somewhere with the Christmas markets. Not been overseas for ages in any way, shape or form,,, so are looking forward to going on the bikes.

What's the best thing regarding euros, should we get them in advance or is it okay to just buy stuff on our credit card whilst away.
