Agree,my perception is that they intentionally live outside of mainstream society, take no responsibility for their impact on others and see everyone as a potential target.

I remember Kilroy Silk doing a documentary staying with travelers. From what I remember he was pretty open minded, but ultimately entirely unconvinced.
